Basil Fawlty couldn’t be ruder than the obnoxious woman behind the counter. A warning to any potential customer - don’t touch anything- you’ll get told off. Simply look or guess the quality of an item - don’t dare inspect or pick anything up or the KGB will hunt you down.

Lovely shop, they have some fantastic quality products to choose from. I love textures and natural materials so this shop ticks all the boxes for me. The shop itself is based on two floors, lots of kitchen and homeware downstairs, with bath, body, cards etc upstairs. I don’t get to visit the amazingly curated shop often as it’s not pushchair friendly (but that’s down to the old buildings in Market Harborough) but I purchase from the website - they package everything beautifully. Their instagram is worth looking at to get a feel for the products they sell. You could spend quite a bit of money here!

Well what a wonderful shop.It is full of beautiful objects both decorative and functional many of which I’ve not seen elsewhere.
The owner truly has an eye for design and this shows not only in the stock but also in how the products are presented.
A visit is a must if you’re in the area and interior design is your thing.
Also a lovely range of books and unusual gifts can be found upstairs together with some rather nice art work.

Bagel & Griff is our favourite independent shop in Market Harborough (and beyond). Helene and the team are extremely attentive and relational and make us feel like Royalty, whether we are buying a beautifully framed hand-printed picture for a wedding gift or monthly bar of lemon soap by mail order in Lockdown! Over the years, as our family has grown, we have been repeatedly touched by random acts of kindness - the most memorable being a gift of baby shoes for our youngest, Hugo. As well as stocking beautiful, environmentally friendly products, this shop genuinely works to promote the skills and wellbeing of crafts people from the developing world and the culture of honour and attention to detail takes us back again and again. It was good to realise that we could still purchase items from Bagel & Griff online and collect them from the shop.
On this occasion we bought a selection of bars of soap, one of which I had been trying to find for some time without success. The product, wrapping and presentation was outstanding and the process of purchasing couldn't have been easier.
Naturally we haven't had time to try all the different items but there was a wide range of scents and prices from which to choose and we're looking forward to trying them out.

In general, this is a beautifully curated shop, lovely people, and one of the main reasons I visit Market Harborough. Be warned though, you will not be able to go there without buying something!!
